Welcome to the Hogwarts Courtyard and Whomping Willow birthday celebration. It was this summer, five years ago that The Whomping Willow began, and two years ago that Hogwarts Courtyard took over where that website left off. Thanks for visiting and please do come back soon!

I believe it all began during the summer of 2002, with a small website called The Hufflepuff Pages. This website, with a design that included yellow text on a black background, lasted a little while, but I didn't really know what I was doing at the time, so I gave it up. Around the end of that summer, I was ready to start again. This time the website was called The Whomping Willow, which later transformed into another Harry Potter website called Hogwarts Courtyard, in May of 2005. Now it is the summer of 2007, and I have persisted with this Harry Potter website endeavor for five years. At the end of the day, I consider this website one of my greatest accomplishments. I have created this minisite as an archive for all of you that were devoted fans of the website. It's not about me of course; we're all fans of one of the greatest fantasies of all time, and we're all here to celebrate the stories Jo has woven for us, and to share the love of stories others have written too. We all create our own stories in our lives, and we all have tales to share with each other. Hogwarts Courtyard is about community. However, all good things do come to an end. Just as the Harry Potter series came to a close, I knew that it was also time for me to try other website ideas. FictionRow.com is my newest, though it has had less than a perfect start.
